The Same Design and Newly Finished Project

I used the same design "Victorian Roses" to finish this firescreen, but this time I stitched on 49 count silk gauze with Gutermann silk and finished the background in Dark Blue.

The inner size of the opening is 1" square.

The screen itself is moving.

This is a low position:

This is an upper position

Here is the firescreen together with the pillow to compare:

I wanted to show you that it is possible to adapt the same design for different count of silk gauze and use for different project, and what effect you can achieve by using different silk thread.

So, which one you like more?

If you are interested to purchase this pattern, it is available at my Etsy store for $8.50 with free domestic shipping and $5.50 international shipping.

The firescreen was made from cocolobo by a Canadian woodworking miniaturist Renaud Prefontaine who is out of mini business now. Here you can see the Gallery of his work:

Have a great week!

  3. I like them both - but it's fantastic to see how the background color changes the impression!
