New Rug in Progress. Day 4

A little update on the stitching progress of my new rug. It is the 4th day as I started stitching it on 35 count silk gauze with DMC floss. It is still a long way to go till a finish line.

Happy Thursday!

  1. It is so beautiful in color. The small pattern you made in the middle looks so fine. I do not have the imagination to imagine how you can see to do this.

  2. Wyrna, thank you. Petitpointing on silk gauze makes the stitching very fine. Anyway, I must admit that stitching on 35 count silk gauze with 2 strands of DMC floss is not my favorite and doesn't feel as fine as on 40 count and higher with 1 strand of silk. Unfortunately, not all of us can use 40 and higher count of silk gauze.
