French Savonnerie Rug in 1/12th scale - Work in Progress

Today I would like to show you a stitching progress of one of my last commission - French Savonnerie in 1/12th scale. I use 40 count silk gauze and DMC floss.

It is just a little beginning of a big adventure

As much as I don't like working with DMC I love the choice of colors my customer picked for this rug

Now I am going to browse all your wonderful stories and beautiful work that I missed!

New Arrival of Silk Gauze 50 and 56 count at my Etsy Store

Good news for all who asked me about 49 count silk gauze.

I don't carry 49 count silk gauze anymore!

I do carry 50 count and 56 count silk gauze now.

You would say, it is not a big difference and I would say: you are not correct. It looks like 1 stitch doesn't make a difference, but let's do some math.

49 x 49 = 2,401 stitches

50 x 50 = 2,500 stitches

So, if to take 1 square inch, you are adding 101 stitches more to it and to your project making the design more detailed.

Please, visit my Etsy store if you are out of silk gauze and planing to stock some for winter long nights.

Happy stitching and enjoy your weekend!

Hi everyone! I haven't posted for a while. You know, busy summer! Busy and very very hot. We are having almost three weeks of unbearable heat. The worse part of it is our family hasn't been on vacation yet and me kind of stuck being at home right now. The reason is that we do a big reconstruction of our house we bought last year. However, life id beautiful and full of minis!

I wanted to let you know that a new Dollhouse Miniatures Needlework group has been opened on Facebook, and if you wish to join i, please, follow this link

Have a great day,
Natalia
