Quarter Scale - Blue Lagoon Cottage

I started working on a dollhouse kit in 1/48 scale from Laser Dollhouse Designs, Inc. The kit is called Little Ann Cottage, but since I see this cottage on the sea shore and in blue colors, I re-named it. Now it is called Blue Lagoon.

Today I'll show a little process. I painted some walls in light blue color

and applied wallpaper

For the floor I used Scale Lumber

I am not sure how to finish the floor yet, but want to have a natural light look.

This is what I have for today after assembling prepared parts together

This is a look from the front side of the cottage

and sides, :)))

I start liking quarter scale!

  3. Good Morning Natalia,
Love that blue colour. No wonder you need those eye exercises! All your work is getting smaller in scale.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with this project.

  4. Hi Natalia! What a lovely cottage is your Blue Lagoon, by the way it's a wonderful name :)! I love the design and color of your wall paper, it suits very well with the light blue color of the exterior. I can't wait to see more of this cottage. Do you have plans to make some furniture for the interior too?
    Hugs, Ilona

  10. Hi Natalia! I fell in love with that scale myself while working on my Tree House project which is basically that scale! There is something so enchanting about the really tiny pieces... that are still big enough to see and "play" with! I still have not finished the Tree House... and I am itching to get back to it...! One of these days ... I think I have too many projects going on! LOL!
Your little cottage is looking very serene... and I really admire you making the flooring!!!

  13. Janine, thank you! Blue color is one of my favorite. I had an eye exam last Fall and the doctor said that my vision is not better but it hasn't become worse either. I want to believe the eye exercises help, :)))) Mini hugs, Natalia
