I agree with Jeannette, the colour of the stand should fit with the rest of the furniture - but your shabby chic touch is very well done and supports the beauty of your stitching.
Even though I think you have shabby chic'd the frame perfectly, I prefer the embroidery in the polished wood frame. I guess it is just personal taste as well as where it is to go. :)
