Silk Ribbon Romance. Part 1.

I wanted to play with silk ribbon in 1/12th scale for a long time. Here comes my first project: wall picture that depicts a bouquet of flowers made with silk ribbon 2mm wide, decorated with 3 yellow beads 22 size.

  1. Very nice, Natalia!! I'm a big fan of silk ribbon 2 mm, it has a delicate look, more then satin ribbon. Great work!

  2. That's REALLY pretty, Natalia -- beautiful work, of course, as always ;) What did you use for the backing? It looks beautifully in scale.

  5. Thank you everyone. I am glad you liked it, because I am in the mood to make today another one, :)))

Judith, It is very easy to work with silk ribbon, but difficult to keep it in scale. I tried my best...

Nina, I used satin for backing.
Ilona, I love silk ribbon Embroidery too, especially in Real size, haven't put my hand on it yet though...

Drora, I like to try different kind of embroidery in miniature. It is bad that not all of them can be adapted to the scale. For instance, Goldwork, I think there is no way at all...
