Today I visited the closing needlework store in the area and bought Gloriana silk for my new project - reproduction in 1/12th scale of the Antique Kazak rug, the end of the 18th century.
Here you can see a little progress
It took me 3 hours to stitch this tiny strip of 4 rows in red, each row has 317 stitches, total 1268 stitches.
125532 stitches to go!!!!
Best wishes,
Natalia
Did you buy up everything from that store? :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your ruler. Did Little Natalia do that?
Your stitches are so neat!!
Yap, little Natalia rules in this house!
ReplyDeleteI don't like to buy silk thread for my rugs on-line. I need to see and feel the colors. It was only one local needlework store that carried Gloriana silk (love it!). Next nearest store is 5-6 hours of driving, lol....
