Christmas Pillow # 1

I have been in the mood for Christmas since last Christmas. It is probably doesn't make any sense for you. The matter of fact is that it was only last year that I finally got the Christmas spirit since I have come to the USA and I really don't know what was so special about it last year. Today I want to offer you a new collection of Christmas pillows:

Fabric Country Pillows

When I go to the fabric stores I can't help myself and buy some fabric that is in scale, and I make little pillows. These country pillows are my favorite:

WORKSHOP "DEALS ON HEELS"

As I have shared with you already, I will attend Tom Bishop's International Chicago show in 2012. I am excited to tell you also that my workshop "Deals on Heels" has been approved and here are some pictures of what we are going to make during the workshop.

The workshop "Deals on Heels" is all about making shoes in miniatures, 1:12th scale.

The students will be introduced to 3 different ways to make the shoes in 1:12 scale:

1. A pair of elegant evening mini shoes in black and gold with high heels, that actually can be put on and taken off from the doll's feet.
2. A pair of summer sandals on high heels using silk ribbon.
3. A pair of Christmas slippers with stitched dancing Santa Claus on the front and Ho-Ho-Ho on the sides. The stitched top with Santa Claus will be provided for each student. Chair is not included.

See you there!

Christmas Stocking # 2

Here is another Christmas stocking I designed, stitched and put together:

Christmas Stocking # 1

It is not Christmas time yet, but I am preparing for it for sure. The fact is that the annual theme at one of my local Dollhouse Miniatures clubs I belong to is Christmas, and all workshops are dedicated to Christmas and inspired me on new Christmas stockings' designs. Here is one of them.

THE DALY MANSION

As I have mentioned in my previous post, last May my family went to Montana sightseeing. We stayed a night at the Copper King Mansion. Another historical place that we visited was the Daly mansion in Hamilton. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take any pictures inside that mansion. I can tell you that this mansion has the most beautiful original Victorian wallpaper I have ever seen!
The home was built in 1910 at the direction of Margaret Daly after the death of her husband Marcus Daly in 1900. This Georgian style three stories home has 25 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms with a full basement.
The trip to Montana was unforgettable. We went to see the Yellow Stone and spent there 2 days.
I tried to take a picture of a geyser as close as possible:
I have no idea what kind of tree they used to build that building, but it looks very cool...
We visited the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center.

We visited the ghost town Banneck and washed the gold there
