My First Attempt in Miniature Knitting

I carry some McQueenie's wood kits at my website store (www.dollhouseneedleoint.com) and at my Etsy store (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ScarletSails?section_id=11132032&ref=shopsection_leftnav_3).

One of them, dollhouse miniature child mannequin kit gave me a lot of troubles in past. May be Lynne and Bernard McQueenie took too realistic picture of a miniature child mannequin, but funny story is that people who purchase those child mannequin's kits think it is a real size mannequin. They pay, I ship, and then I receive a message from them asking if it is possible to return it back. In a word, I had hard time to sell that particular kit. Finally, giving up on an idea to sell them, I made a decision to put them together and dress.

It was time I used and loved to knit in real size. I thought it would be great to try knitting in miniature.

Here is my first attempt in miniature knitting - a girl's blue sweater. Overall height of a dressed miniature child mannequin, including neck is 3 3/4" (95 mm).

By the way, if you are interested in purchasing this child mannequin kit, I have 4 kits left.

1/12th scale child mannequin kit consisting of 5 mahogany pieces and a resin body.

Overall height, including neck: 95mm (3 3/4")

Assembly instructions included.

Happy miniaturing!
Natalia

I love this knitted sweater, Natalia, you even knitted in a pattern :D! Regarding these mannequin: I didn't understand it all quite well, but are these mannequins for kids and are their bodies too big for the size? Is that what you meant? I have bought such a kit years ago, but I've not opened it yet....
I wish you a lovely weekend!
Hugs, Ilona

Hard to believe that this is your first try in miniature knitting - anybody looking at it and not knowing would never believe it. And even with a pattern - wow!

Awesome sweater! I like so much that you even snowflakes vyvyazali. Looks very realistic. I also love to knit, want to try to knit lace for your dollhouse, a thread even took the coil already. I once made the spokes of the large Roma needles, needles wore eraser. And you have used needles?

This is great work - and doing stranded knitting in your first piece is so brave and it paid off! I love the little skirt too. Really cute. Have to laugh about people thinking they were real size - don't people ever read the descriptions!!!
