THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!

Another year has passed by. I was a little bit sad to say Good bye to the 2011 year (it was a great year for me and my family, probably, the best year during last 5 years), even though the 2012 is looking very promising and full of scheduled fun events.

In April we are gong to the Chicago International Dollhouse Miniatures show.

In June we are going to Castine, state Main. If you remember, I won a Guild School scholarship and very excited to attend the classes I've picked up, if I am lucky enough.

And last but not least, we are planning to go to Russia next fall. We actually plan it each year, but there are always some circumstances that stay on the way (mostly called "money"). I haven't been in Russia since I moved to America and haven't seen my parents for 8 years already. They miss a lot their grandson who is now 16, and they would love to meet their granddaughter who is almost 6 now.

I want to thank all of you, my followers, my friends that I gained during the last year through the Blogger World. You all motivate me with your fabulous, incredible work and kind comments. I am sorry if I am late to respond to them, but I appreciate all of them.

As a gift to all of you, here is a new Needlepoint pattern for a Dollhouse miniature are rug "LACE" in 1/12th scale.

It was charted for 40 count silk gauze, but can be worked out using the finer count of silk gauze. It was charted for using DMC, but of course you are welcome to use any brand of threads, and any colors you like. There are 211 x 145 stitches. The rug measures 5.28" x 3.63" (13.40 x 9.21 cm). The design was adopted from a real size rug.

Here is the chart. There are 6 pages and the table that corresponds to the pages.
The green line around indicates the edges of the rug and the red line indicates the center of the chart.

ENJOY IT!

If anyone finishes the stitching of this rug, I will be more than happy to see the pictures and post the images of your work on my blog.

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Natalia

May you have a great year ahead, Natalia and go to all the places you plan to go, do the things you want and dream even bigger dreams :).

And thank you so much for that present :). I have downloaded and copied the pages that you have so generously shared. When I finished it even if it is years later, I will definitely tell you :).

Now let me go read all the posts that I have missed here :).

When you go to Chicago, will you be going to the Museum of Science and Industry to see Colleen Moore's Dollhouse?

I first saw it on a class trip in 1963 and have remembered it ever since.

Sans! Thank you for your wishes and Happy New Year you too! How is your needlework doing? progressing?

Paula, the Museum of Science and Industry is on my list. I hope I will have enough time for everything I am planning to visit. I was fascinated reading the book about the Colleen Moore's Dollhouse. I can imagine the feeling you have had seeing it.

Elga, I am not sure about joining you and Mavis in NY, but will be more than happy finally meet you personally in Castine.

Brae, I will be more than happy to see you in Castine. If you are planning to attend the show (I know you live close by), my table will be under the business name Natalia's Fine Needlework. See you there, :))))

Thank you everyone for your beautiful comments and wishes. Happy New Year to all!

Natalia, good wishes for 2012 and I hope that your plans to travel to Russia and your parents will come true. I'm sorry if my English is not correct, but I want to thank you for your gift: the needlework pattern of the rug. Thanks a lot, because I don't have patterns for mini rugs yet.
In the meantime I've discovered a little more of blogging on blogspot and I've seen more of your blogs: amazing!! Your are a very talented creative person, Natalia! Beautiful (needle/shoe)work.
I've to "confess" ;)that my Xmas stockings are not my design, because the socks were already printed on the fabric, so they were ready to sew for me. So I've cheated a little, but it looked great;)!!
Greetz and thank you,
Ilona
