Dollhouse Quarter Scale Petit Point Firescreen - Update

Fast update on my dollhouse petit point firescreen in a quarter scale.

I finished petit pointing a design for a quarter scale firescreen.

It took me approx. 1 h and 20 min to finish it. There are total of 97 stitches, 8 colors and I used 112 count silk gauze. There was no sense to stitch background that's why I left it unfinished.

Honestly, I am not impressed with the result. You can hardly see all colors I used and even identify the design. Just to compare and see what I mean I decided to petit point a pillow in a quarter scale with the same result but on 60 count silk gauze. I am almost done with the pillow (working on the background) but already can see how 2 projects with the same design are absolutely different being stitched on different counts of silk gauze.

Don't you agree?

Although you say it is not very impressive, I think it is very clever of you to embroider in such a small scale, my compliments. But unfortunately I have to agree with you: it is not very good visible that you used so much colors, it is almost too tiny. it is such a pity you did all those efforts for this work and it feels like you failed....

Oh my that is so fantastically microscopic! I don't know how you make such small and detailed wonders@

It is a shame you are not happy with the finer scale but I guess like many things when you scale them down a lot you start losing some of the detail. It still looks beautiful to me and I am just amazed that you can work in such a small thread count. I look forward to seeing the completed screen. The 60 count pillow is beautiful.

You know Natalia, to me there is the total wonder and amazement that you can still see! Even with magnification working that small has got to be a strain on your eyes. Even though I can just see the difference between the two pieces, they are both Pretty Impressive as far as I'm concerned. :D
I also LOVE your updated Header! WOW!

Wow, that was fast, Natalia :-) I love them both, but I agree that details are more prevalent on the 60 count. Your work is amazing!

The difference of the designs on the different fabrics is amazing... But according to the "size" of the screen's frame I think it was still the best choice to stitch it that way.

Wow! Natalia, the tiny stitching is just Incredible!!! I think you are right that some of the "definition" is actually lost in the higher thread count stitching.... but either one is just amazingly beautiful! I can't imagine trying that small!!!
