Is it the Fall or Me?...

It is Monday. It is raining again, wet, cold and uncomfortable outside. I have a lot of started projects, a lot of things to do, a lot of thoughts and new ideas. To encourage me my husband brought a beautiful colorful bouquet of carnations and a greeting card where he re-wrote a great poem "Don't quit". It reminded me a beautiful song by Gregorian.

DON'T QUIT

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! if you must; but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow;
You might succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit;
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

I wish everyone to have a great week! and DON'T GIVE UP!

courage, the worse it is going, the road is all uphill, and this is positive, because it is better to climb than go down .. ah ah!

А у нас утром очень холодно, скоро пойдет снег и начнется зима. А плохое настроение проходит, как и плохая погода.

Hello!

I love this poem! It's been a long time since I last saw it and I had forgotten it. Your posting it was perfect timing for me to read! I hope it helped you - it helped me. Life issues and all that stuff. I have printed it and am putting it on the wall by my computer and maybe a copy by my work table in my studio area! I should probably paste it to my forehead but for now I will use the wall. :<)

The flowers are beautiful - a gift of love from your husband. That and the poem must have lightened your spirits! :<)

Wishing you a happy week!

Hugs,

Barbara Diane
