New Rug in Progress

Today I picked another rug to stitch.

This one is small, it will measure approx. 4" x 7" and won't take too much time to finish. Actually it has been charted for 22 count, but I use 35 count silk gauze and DMC floss. Here is a progress for today.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and ready for a new week!

It seems to be a nice blanket. I love the edge you've done, it looks like gold

I was thinking how many strands you are using on this one?

I'm a novice in needlepoint and am now starting to make a rug (your free one actually) and am just wondering how many strands to use on a 32 count canvas.

Thank you for your nice comments.

Susu, for this rug I use 2 strands of DMC floss. In order to nicely fill up the area of the rug on 22, 32, 35 canvas count, use 2 strands of floss. I hope it helps. By the way, I tried to leave a comment on your blog and it didn't let me.

Wyrna, thank you. The color you are talking about is Old Gold. It looks beautiful in combination with blue, the color I will use for the background.

Another one... you're amazing! But okay, let's not forget - you're turbo-needle... ;O)
