Dollhouse Miniature Kazak rug - Work in progress

While the dollhouse miniature Heriz Serapi rug is hanging on the blocking board I picked up another project that has to be finished as fast as possible - dollhouse miniature Kazak rug in 1/12th scale. Last time you saw this rug was last February and it looked like this:

Just want to remind that I am stitching it on 49 count silk gauze with Gloriana over dyed silk. The finished rug will measure approx. 6.5" x 8.5".

My goal is to finish the main border this week and start working on the inner border. I hope to accomplish this task. It is very, I mean, very hot here and I don't have any desire to spend any time outside, the heat makes me disabled.

Are you staying cool?

Natalia

Veo que te gusta bordar. No sé como sera el interior, pero la parte exterior es muy bonita.

It is very hot here in Singapore as well. Intense heat like this gives me a constant headache and makes me lethargic. I much prefer to be cold :).

If anyone can reach this goal than it's Mrs. Turbo-needle... ;O) Hope the extreme heat at your place will be over soon, around here we're still waiting for summer.

Hello Natalia! Here in Vancouver, Canada the heat is on FINALLY! Spokane is a little further inland isn't it and you would be getting a drier weather than Seattle? Am I correct? Anyway, after so much wet, the plants are now being blistered to death with the mini heat wave that has suddenly seemed to have appeared out of Nowhere. Not quite so hot as last Monday, but a very pretty day; and here I am inside working out how to make an Aga stove! hahah Your carpet is looking so good and I think that BiWuBar's nickname of TURBO-NEEDLE is indeed appropriate for you. But you are not just super fast you are also Super Good!

I've petitpointed some carpets already, so I do understand the huge amount of work and hours involved in one...

Your carpet is AMAZING, I love it! I'll follow the progress, it's a beautiful carpet!
