It took me 3 more days to finish stitching Dollhouse Miniature Blue Aubusson rug in 1/12th scale.

Now I will block it and after it dries I will finish the edges and show you the completely finished rug.

Blue Aubusson Rug in Progress. Day 6 and 7.

Last 2 days I had some time to work on the Dollhouse Miniature Blue Aubusson Rug, 1/12th scale. I stitch it on 35 count silk gauze (honestly, can't wait to finish it, it is so painful for me to stitch on 35 count with 2 strands of DMC, :((((. Dollhouse Blue Aubusson Rug - Day 6

Today I've had an opportunity to pick up my Blue Aubusson Rug and work on it. Even though it has been more than a week I worked on it, it is the 6th day of actual stitching.

I finished stitching the outer border and as you can see not much left!

I am using 35 count silk gauze and DMC + Gutermann silk for this project.

I also put together a plant stand using McQueenie Dollhouse Miniature kit made from cherry, finished it with Lemon oil

and it is ready to be displayed with this simple plant in a simple pot (the tutorial for which you can find here http://scarletsailsminiatures.blogspot.com/2010/12/tutorial-beths-house-plants.html )
in my roombox "Edwardian Elegance", just need to finish working on the roombox.

New Rug Progress - Day 5

Here is a little update on my new rug. I had a little break from it since last week and stitched only yesterday. The background has been finished and I am smoothly moving to the border.

New Rug in Progress. Day 4

A little update on the stitching progress of my new rug. It is the 4th day as I started stitching it on 35 count silk gauze with DMC floss. It is still a long way to go till a finish line.

Perfectly Wasted Time and New Rug in Process

Last weekend I worked on the floor for my scene "Black Rose is a Symbol of Sadness, Red Rose is a Symbol of Love". I used the tiles that I bought from the craft store Michaels, and... I am not happy.

I wanted the floor to symbolize the broken relations and the impact they bring in a person's life, but this floor looks too shiny, too perfect for this project. More than that it looks more suitable for the bathroom, true? So, talking about wasting the time...

... and the last but not least is the progress of stitching of my new rug. I probably will be able to finish it at the end of this week.

New Rug in Progress

Today I picked another rug to stitch.

This one is small, it will measure approx. 4" x 7" and won't take too much time to finish. Actually it has been charted for 22 count, but I use 35 count silk gauze and DMC floss. Here is a progress for today.
