Sneak Peek - Collection of Quarter Petit Point Rugs

Today I would like to show you another recently finished quarter rug. I stitched this rug based on SharonG's pattern, but used only the design of borders from the pattern. I decided to stitch the field of the rug with one color. I used Gloriana silk on 49 count silk gauze. The rug measures 2 1/2" x 1 3/8".

I think this rug can be used in the dining room and you can put a dining table on it. I don't have a quarter dining table with chairs, that is why I used this little adorable bunny toy to show off my rug.

The bunny toy is signed KD and, I believe, is made from polymer clay.

Sneak Peek - Collection of Quarter Petit Point Rugs

I started working on a little collection of petit point rugs in a quarter scale, the scale I've gotten an interest recently. Some of them are stitched based on my design, some of them not.

This little one is designed by SharonG, stitched on 49 count silk gauze and measures 7/8" x 1 3/8".

Quarter Scale - Blue Lagoon Cottage

I started working on a dollhouse kit in 1/48 scale from Laser Dollhouse Designs, Inc. The kit is called Little Ann Cottage, but since I see this cottage on the sea shore and in blue colors, I re-named it. Now it is called Blue Lagoon.

Today I'll show a little process. I painted some walls in light blue color

and applied wallpaper

For the floor I used Scale Lumber

I am not sure how to finish the floor yet, but want to have a natural light look.

Quarter Scale - Blue Lagoon Dollhouse

As I mentioned in my previous post, last year I purchased a dollhouse kit in 1/48 scale from Laser Dollhouse Designs, Inc. The kit is called Little Ann Cottage, but since I see this cottage on the sea shore and in blue colors, I re-named it. Now it is called Blue Lagoon.

I hope I finish the house before June. Do you know why before June? Really, have you forgotten already? There will be the Quarter Connection 2015 Convention, June 20-27!

The theme of the Convention is "QC Mini Escape: Getting Away from it All" and my cottage on the sea shore is perfect for this theme, such a great getaway place from it ALL.

Quarter Connection Convention 2015

I am expending my interests not only in needlework but in miniature's world too and slowly approaching to smaller scales. I found out that my point of interest is moving mostly towards 1/4th scale. I purchased a 1/4 dollhouse kit sometime last year but barely started it. A reason is that my craft room is still under construction and I am limited in space of creating, but it is a different story for another post.

Today I wanted to ask you if you've signed up for the Quarter Connection Convention yet? It will be held June 20-27, 2015 and today is the last day to join the list!

A lot of fun and activities is promised: roundtables, door prizes, workshops, swaps, etc...

It will be my first Quarter Connection Convention I am participating in and am looking forward to it. I've finished a couple of petit point rugs in 1/4th scale already, but again, next time about it.
